Jennifer L. West, LM,CPM, HBCE,TBMP,CST, CH has been a practicing midwife since 1989, is the owner of Albuquerque Homebirth, a practice that specializes in waterbirth, HypnoBirthing®, Total Body Modification, CranioSacral care and various methods of energy work. She also owns The Purple Thistle Tea Co. and Dolphin Circle Waterbirth Tub Kits mail-order businesses.

Jenny moved to Albuquerque in 1995, after leaving a successful homebirth practice in Montana. Prior to becoming a midwife, she worked for the National Park Service as a park ranger. Five years of law enforcement, emergency medicine, structural and wildland firefighting proved to have been a great background for becoming a midwife, which also involves working with and educating the public on a daily basis.

Jenny taught traditional childbirth classes at two local hospitals for five years, and continues to teach private childbirth preparation classes and infant CPR as well as many work shops around the country. In 1999, Jenny became certified to teach American AquaNatal and HypnoBirthing® classes.
She just retired from being the Peer Review Coordinator for all New Mexico licensed midwives after 13 years, is currently a preceptor, and a board-member for the National College of Midwifery in Taos and the NM State Midwifery Advisory Board.

Hobbies include reading, dancing, sleeping, and going to the beach!

Michelle and Jessica attended their first birth together in 2008 and began practicing together in 2010. We are licensed midwives who live in and serve our local community using evidence-based practice, rooted in the best that science has to offer, along with all the cultural tools that have served our communities for many generations, such as the use of herbs, traditional remedies, and the rebozo (shawl).

Our practice offers homebirth services and home visiting for families that wish to birth in the comfort and safety of their own home. We are specially trained to meet the needs of clients during the prenatal, birth, and postpartum periods outside of a hospital setting. We take ample time with our clients and their loved ones before the birth in order to build a relationship of respect and trust upon which we can provide the highest standard of care. Throughout our care we share information about risks and benefits of routine procedures and make sure that all decisions that are made are collaborative in nature and reflect the needs and desires of our clients.

We also offer our comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care for women who choose to have their babies in one of our local hospitals. We are privileged to work in collaboration with hospital providers in our community and we are happy to offer our high quality care regardless of the intended place of birth. We continue our care for all of our clients after the birth for both mom and baby. We provide assistance with breastfeeding and continue screening for common problems to help facilitate a successful adjustment for the mom, baby and family.

New Growth Midwifery is a small homebirth practice offering you personalized holistic care with the consistency of one midwife. My name is Tanja Bolle. I
am a New Mexico Licensed and Certified Professional Midwife and have been practicing as a homebirth midwife since 1996 in the Santa Fe area (I will travel up to 90 minutes for births).  “New Growth” comes with the philosophy that we all have the opportunity to develop and change with each pregnancy and birth, that we can establish and deepen roots as well as branch out to create a strong community of empowered women and families.  I take this to heart as a midwife and mother and try to foster a space of openness and growth with the women I work.

New Growth Midwifery offers services for the entire childbearing year- from preconception to prenatals, labor and birth, postpartum and well woman visits. One of the things that makes this practice unique is that all visits are provided in the comfort and security of your own home, together with your family where you
will give birth. Medicaid and insurance are accepted and consultations are no charge.
