ABOUT US

New Mexico Coalition of Midwives (NMCM) is a professional organization for midwives in New Mexico. NMCM provides continuing education, peer review, advocacy, resources, and support for midwives, thereby benefiting birthing families throughout the state. Members are dedicated to:

• Promoting equity and inclusion within the field of midwifery and among the families midwives serve

• Uniting and strengthening representation for midwifery at the legislative, state, and community level

• Advancing and promoting midwifery as an accessible option for those seeking care before, during and beyond the childbearing year 

• Maintaining evidence-based, high quality care for birthing families in New Mexico

• Supporting each other in practice and in achieving these goals
